I currently do not live in Japan, but in the US as I am applying to college in the states.

But to answer your question, Prime Minister Koizumi Junichiro and his party just won a landslide victory in the elections and obtained a very comfortable majority in the lower chamber. This would mean that hte Liberal Democratic Party will not only chair all the committees, but also have a majority in those committees as well. The election clears the way for the postal service reform which was the centerpiece of Prime Minister Koizumi's platform. And I personally think it's about time we broke up this monopoly giant.

Nothing much else important. It's more life as usual I guess.
